Open Enrollment Policy

     The Lawton Public School District maintains an open enrollment policy for its elementary schools.

     Parents who reside in the LPS school district may enroll their elementary-age student at any of Lawton's 32 elementary schools if space is available at the school and if the parent agrees to provide transportation to and from the school site.

     Open enrollment does not exist at the secondary level.

     Enrollment in LPS secondary schools is based absolutely on each student's place of residence. Secondary students must attend the junior high or high school of the area in which they reside.
